Granite State Pro Stock Series to Make Debut at Lee Speedway

Walpole, NH- The famed Lee USA Speedway will host the Granite State Pro Stock Series for the first time ever on Friday, July 25th.

The 3/8 mile, semi-banked oval has always been a favorite with racers, and now the Granite State Pro Stock Series will be a part of the track’s storied history. The usual suspects have already entered the Seacoast 100, including Derek Griffith, Matt Frahm, Larry Gelinas, the O’Sullivan brothers, Barry Gray, Dillon Moltz, and Brad Babb, and are joined by drivers like George Helliwell, Bobby Cabral, Babe Branscombe, and Joey Squeglia. Squeglia had set fast time in practice at the Star 100 at Star Speedway just a few weeks ago, but suffered bad luck in the feature, leaving the Derry, NH driver without the results he deserved.

Buxton, ME’s Larry Gelinas is enjoying a strong lead at the top of the point standings, sitting 33 points ahead of second place point man Frahm after 4 events. Gelinas has run Lee before, but doesn’t think it gives him any advantage. Gelinas states “The same fast cars will still be at the front. Frahm, Griffith, Babb, Moltz, they will all be there.” Gelinas feels patience and tire management will be key to finishing strong. “It can be hard to get traction and grip at Lee,” said Gelinas. “A bad draw could hurt you, but there is enough room and banking that if you save your stuff, you will find yourself there at the end.”

The Seacoast 100 will take place at Lee Speedway on July 25th. Pit gates open at 3PM, with post time scheduled for 7PM. Lee Speedway is located at 380 Calef Highway in Lee, NH.
