Granite State Pro Stock Series Heads Back to Hudson Speedway This Sunday

By Souza Media/Kyle Souza

WALPOLE, N.H. -- The Granite State Pro Stock Series will be back in action for the first time in nearly one month this Sunday, July 11, when drivers head to the high-banks of Hudson Speedway for a 100-lap feature. The New Hampshire oval often produces some of the most exciting Pro Stock action on the schedule, with its banked and tight corners, and short straightaways.

The series championship battles rolls into Hudson for what will be the fifth race of the season after a month filled with Mother Nature impacting the schedule. Events at Claremont Motorsports Park, Riverside Speedway and Lee USA Speedway were all not run due to weather concerns. The series is hoping bright sunshine fills the sky on Sunday and racing keeps fans on the edge of their seats.

With four races complete, rising star Gabe Brown leads the championship standings by two over former series champion Devin O’Connell, with Angelo Belsito in third, 14 points back. Josh King is tied with Belsito for third, while Bryan Kruczek finishes the top-five. All five of those drivers are part of the expected entrant list for the race at Hudson.

However, Belsito and Kruczek are the only two that have been to Victory Lane this season. Joey Pole won the season-opener at Stafford Motor Speedway in April, before Belsito grabbed the checkered at Monadnock Speedway in May. Kruczek was a winner at his home track, Star Speedway, and David Oliver scored his first career win at Beech Ridge last month.

Pole is also one of the entered drivers for Sunday, coming off a victory at the track in another touring series a few weeks ago. Other entries include Charlie Sanborn III, Cory Casagrande, Kevin Folan, Mike Mitchell, Tyler Tomassi, Casey Call, Kevin Casper, Ryan Green and more.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults, with seniors and veterans set at just $15. All kids 10 and under that enter the grandstands are free for admission. Pit passes are $35 with a NASCAR license, and $40 without one. The pit gates will open at 1 p.m. for Granite State Pro Stock Series teams, with practice set for 4 p.m.

Time trials will begin the show at 5:05 p.m., followed by qualifying heats, and the 100-lap feature, which will wrap the night. The local Six Shooters, Pure Stocks and Street Stocks are also on the card. For those who can’t make it to the track, Speed51.TV will air the race live for monthly and yearly subscribers.
