Walpole, NH- The Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) will participate in, quite possibly, the biggest race since the series’ inception in 2011. The NH Classic will take place at Star Speedway, Saturday, September 6th, as part of the 48th annual Star Classic.

The NH Classic was added to the GSPSS schedule to coincide with the Star Classic by GSPSS President Mike Parks and Star Speedway General Manager Bob Webber, JR. “The addition of the GSPSS to this event is a homerun for us and for Star Speedway,” mentioned Parks. “It will give us a chance to put our product in front of ISMA fans, and a chance for our fans to see their product.” The Star Classic has been a staple on the ISMA Super Modified tour, and has seen such superstars as Jon McKennedy and Russ Wood be crowned winner.

The NH Classic will be the third stop at Star Speedway for the Granite State Pro Stock Series in the 2014 season. Jeremy Davis fought off Dylan Moltz to pick up the victory onJune 28th, while Wayne Helliwell, JR survived a last chance effort from Larry Gelinas to take the August 16th race.

Point leader Matt Frahm enters the NH Classic with a 12 point advantage over Gelinas. In five races for the Hampstead, NH driver, Frahm has only finished outside the top 10 once (12th on 6/28/14), has one win, 3 podium finishes, with an average feature finish of 4.2. Third generation racer Brad Babb has recorded a third and fourth at Star Speedway this year with the GSPSS, showing the young driver is a threat to take the first ever NH Classic. Moltz, who had a dominant car in the early summer race, is looking to pick up his first victory with the series at a track that he owns a second and fifth place finish. Bobby Baillargeon is another driver to watch at the famed ¼ mile in Epping, NH. The inaugural runner-up in the 2012 championship standings, Baillargeon has not finished outside of the top 6 in 4 races, including two 3rd place finishes.

The second GSPSS Tournament Challenge presented by Victory Lane Radio and 360 Design Lab continues at the NH Classic at Star Speedway. A total of 8 drivers entered the event, which whittled down to 4 after the Hudson Hugger on August 24th. Barry Gray is set to do battle against Larry Gelinas, while Brad Babb will go against Matt Frahm. To advance, each driver only needs to finish ahead of his counterpart in the feature event. The winner of the second GSPSS Tournament Challenge will receive $500, while second place will pocket $200. The final round will take place at White Mountain Motorsports Park on September 20th.

Joining the Granite State Pro Stock Series and ISMA Super Modifieds will be Roadrunners, Strictly Stocks, and Outlaws.

The NH Classic will take place Saturday, September 6th, at Star Speedway in Epping, NH as part of the 48th annual Star Classic. There will be an open practice on Friday, September 5th, from 6-9PM, with a Pit Party to follow, including driver autographs and giveaways. Pit gates will open on Saturday at 10:30AM, practice beginning at 1:20PM, and green flag scheduled to drop at 4:45PM. For more information on Star Speedway, visit www.star-speedway.com.
